From start-to-finish, a race day-in-the-life is manically-covered from driver’s point-of-view footage to quick panoramic track shots, strategic graphic overhead angles, to the tense “fist pump” shots between drivers and the hurried precision of the pit crew action. From pole to victory the hyper-paced editing helps tell a race day live race story.
Several film techniques were amplified to achieve the excitement of speed. Using mostly footage from the IndyCar member organization coving a number of tracks and the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, various lens kaleidoscope intensities and frequencies, light burst “spectaculars”, inverted shots, double exposure imagery, driver-to-driver, and driver-to-pit-lane radio dialogue, and quick edgy motion graphics combine to give the viewer the sense of a caffeinated action experience.

The IndyCar ‘Racing Heart’ campaign began with this 2017 film entitled IndyCar Next which introduces the top race circuit drivers which established the race day energy and visual flavor of the campaign.
